Actual Season 1 Scripts

NOTE: This section will be far from complete actual scripts for every single episode for season one. It will however contain what I find and what people give to me for the bits of the actual scripts used for or intended to used for season 1. It doesn't matter if the scripts are labeled "writer's draft", "full white", "studio draft", "audition scene" or something else. I will post it in three versions unless it is a casting side for which there will be one only version because I generally get those off of other places on the Net and they only do it in the way they like it which not necessarily goes with what I have in mind. Another instance of one version available is cut from the episode it was supposed to be in. Version A is the only plain text version of the three and is on the Tripod site. It generally has the smallest file size most of the time. It looks remarkably like it actually did because of the appropriate line breaks. However it doesn't have underlined words, italicized words, page numbers, or information about the pages following the first page listed. Version B is in HTML and is on the Tripod site. Most of the time, it has a file size greater than version A but it could not if the whole script is there. However it looks the least like it actually did and line breaks are not always where they are shown on the actual pages I've got. But it does have the fewest pages and a note at beginning which does not appear on the other versions. Like version A, it doesn't have information about the pages following the first page listed. However, unlike version A, it does show underlined and italicized words where they occur. Version C is in HTML and is located on the spHosting site because no ads appear actually on the page unlike the Tripod site. It has the largest file size but looks the most like it actually did. Like version A, it has the appropriate line breaks. Like version B, it shows underlined and italicized words where they occur. Unlike versions A and B, it does in fact have page numbers and information about the pages following the first page listed. If your printer prints like my printer does, then following each horziontal line there should be a new page which is where they should be. But if your printer does not work like mine, then the horizontal lines occur throughout the documents at weird places. Whenever possible, I will include a link to the PDF format at the bottom of this page (before the disclaimer) if you wish. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view files in the PDF format. I realize not everyone can download programs onto the computer they are presently at so that's why I have tried to convert them into HTML format which all computers with the Internet can read.

Casting Sides (24 files, 1 version)

  • Episode 07: We Hold These Truths - the two casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was spoken in "We Hold These Truths". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 12: Vegetative State - the two casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was spoken in "Vegetative State". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 13: The Price of Fame - the three casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was spoken in "The Price of Fame". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 14: Colin the Second - the two casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was spoken in "Colin the Second". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 15: Snow Job - the three casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was spoken in "Snow Job". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 16: My Funny Valentine - the two casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was spoken in "My Funny Valentine". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 20: Moonlight Sonata - the five casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was be spoken in "Moonlight Sonata". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene is the same.

  • Episode 23: Home - the five casting sides that are linked here had some connection to something that was be spoken in "Home". Often, the casting side is shortened in the course of editing the episode for time constraints but the gist of the scene must be the same in order to remain in this category after the episode has aired.

Cut From Episode (26 files, 1 version)

  • Completely Cut (8 files) - the bits that are linked here are the ones I find that gave an episode title and were supposed in season 1 but in the final airing of the episode, they were left on the cutting room floor. The scenes linked here have no resemblance to anything that has aired.

  • Partially Cut (18 files) - If part of a scene was cut but not all of it, I will reproduce the entire scene in this section in the layout which this cut section follows and place in bold the parts which were cut or significantly changed. And keep in mind that even though a line from the casting sides or something else is still there and not here, it does not mean that that's the way the line was spoken when the episode aired. This section is not complete as it could be at the present time yet.

    Writer's Draft (1 file, 2 versions)

  • Episode 06: The Doctor Is In - This will have links to all the pages I have found for the script which was written on July 26, 2002. If the pages are continuous, they will be in one file. Like if I have pages 29 and 30, they go in one file. But say if I have pages 29 and 31, they will go into two separate files. Then if I later find page 30, then pages 29, 30, and 31 will go into one file.

Full White (1 file, 2 versions)

  • Episode 04: The Kissing Bridge - This will have links to all the pages I have found for the script which was written on July 30, 2002. If the pages are continuous, they will be in one file. Like if I have pages 13 and 14, they go in one file. But say if I have pages 13 and 15, they will go into two separate files. Then if I later find page 14, then pages 13, 14, and 15 will go into one file.

Studio Draft (2 files, 2 versions)

  • Episode 06: The Doctor Is In - This will have links to all the pages I have found for the script which was written on August 12, 2002. If the pages are continuous, they will be in one file. Like if I have pages 2 and 3, they go in one file. But say if I have pages 1 and 3, they will go into two separate files. Then if I later find page 2, then pages 1, 2, and 3 will go into one file.
