Completely Cut From A Season 1 Episode
NOTE: When considering a scene "completely cut" and it was supposed to be in the pilot episode (or any episode that had more than one ways of airing, for that matter), the scene must not have been in any of the more than one ways that the episode aired.
FROM: REVISED PILOT EPISODE - written on January 10, 2002
#1 - This has two completely cut scenes. One is between Ephram Brown and his father Doctor Andrew Brown. The other takes place in Delia Brown's bedroom. The reason why these two are placed together is because they were consecutive in the order the script was written.
#2 - This has two completely cut scenes. One is Doctor Andrew Brown ducking out from behind the tarp covering the old train depot which is his new office. The other takes place in Art's Roadhouse Diner which I think becomes Mama Joy's when it finally comes time for us to know where Nina works in the show's third episode "Friendly Fire". The reason why these two are placed together is because they were consecutive in the order the script was written.
#3 - This has Doctor Andrew Brown finding out from Edna that freight trains still come through the old train depot (now his doctor's office) twice a week.
#4 - This has a scene after Bright basically attacks Ephram on school grounds. It's after we find out that Bright and Amy's father is Doctor Harold Abbott Junior, whose nemesis is Ephram's father, Doctor Andrew Brown. But before Doctor Brown talks to his son after the fight.
#5 - This has two completely cut scenes that take place at City Hall. One is in the reception area and the other is in the mayor's office. In the second one, we find out that the mayor is Doctor Harold Abbott Junior's wife. When in fact, we don't meet Doctor Abbott's wife until the second episode "The Great Doctor Brown" and we don't find out that she's mayor until the fourth episode "The Kissing Bridge".
FROM: "Vegetative State" Casting Sides
#1 - This scene took place in a ice cream shop. While Doc Andy Brown orders ice cream for his daughter Delia and his young neighbor Samuel Feeney, Delia Brown and Samuel Feeney discuss their dads with more deliberation on Samuel's father. Characters with lines in this bit, in order are Delia Brown and Samuel Feeney. Doctor Andy Brown is mentioned in stage directions but does not have any spoken lines.

- In the aired version of "Vegetative State", Sam still mentions going to the park with his dad once he gets home but that's pretty much the only thing that stayed the same so that's why I have here in the completely cut.
FROM: "Colin the Second" Casting Sides
#1 - This note went along with this tidbit on the original site I found the tidbit on: The scene is because Steven's parents show on growth charts, he won't be very tall. His father is the basketball coach and they want him to have growth hormone shots and the boy is not speaking up against his parents' decision. Characters with lines in this bit, in order are Doctor Andrew Brown and Steven Lewis (last name is not certain).

FROM: "Snow Job" Casting Sides
#1 - This takes place at Sal's Pizza, a pizza place with New York-style pizza in a Colorado-style town. Colin and Bright have a conversation about sex while waiting for the pizza to bring back to their dates. (Amy for Colin and Gemma for Bright obviously because it would be weird the other way, seeing as Amy is Bright's sister.) Characters with lines in this bit, in order are Colin Hart and Bright Abbott. Amy Abbott and Gemma Maxwell are mentioned in the stage directions but don't have any spoken lines. GabyNote: I consider this a complete scene because when they go over to the table where Amy and Gemma are, that's technically a different scene even though they are in the same place, Sal's Pizza.
